Premier League 2026/27 Opening Weekend: Hull Stun Man Utd, Brentford Thrash Tottenham

Hull City 2-0 Manchester United
Back in the top flight after nine years away, Hull sat deep against United and settled the game with two set-piece goals before half-time:

Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Hull City are the three clubs promoted from the Championship for 2026/27 — and it was Hull that delivered the weekend’s biggest shock.
